Role Overview:

Our dedicated Project Management Team at RLB are responsible for seeing a project through from the initial planning stages to completion. Their main task is to break down projects into stages, taking responsibility for monitoring and managing the programme, cost, quality and risk of each stage of the project. Our Project Managers work in close contact with clients, advising them on financial matters, project risks, procurement and contract matters using our experience to provide an informed opinion.

The PMO Lead Project Manager will be instrumental in delivering governance and assurance for a client program of projects, establishing frameworks, processes, and procedures, and ensuring consistent, high-quality project delivery.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead project management efforts for pre-approval stage (prior to full project funding) and provide assurance over the projects that are managed by the service delivery team once projects become funded and formally sanctioned.
  • Integrate and drive stakeholder and consultant deliverables in support of project strategic priorities, in alignment with delivery expectations and requirements.
  • Lead consultant integration and engagement at the appropriate project stages in alignment with RACI and governance charts.
  • Responsible for the analysis, prioritization, and control of projects and programs in line with the strategic objectives.
  • Responsible for reporting against the program and portfolio master schedule that is driven by data at a project or program level.
  • Responsible for coordinating on producing and maintaining the overall program framework / playbook – the document is inclusive of the program execution plan, stage gates and delivery methodology.
  • Responsible for management of PMIS (project management information system) integrated with execution processes and procedures, and providing the client with accurate portfolio reports for the program.
  • Responsible for analysing program risk and opportunities trend and their respective cost and schedule impact.
  • Responsible for defining an overall approach to continuous improvements incorporating strategic objectives and alignment with defined benefits and targets.

Job requirements

The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive proactive approach to the role and will be committed to delivering customer service excellence, with good commercial results.

  • A minimum of 12 years of relevant program management experience in large scale programs and projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, Construction Management, Construction Engineering, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related construction degree.
  • Extensive knowledge of Program Management methods and best practices.
  • Experience with managing a program of connected projects successfully.
  • A thorough knowledge of forecasting, budgeting, planning, design, schedule, and scope management.
  • Proven track record in delivering projects within the budget and schedule constraints.
  • Competent in using the following Software: MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project, MS PowerPoint and PMIS software.
  • Experience with data management software and systems for data management, analytics, and quality assurance.
